Comcast MiFi 4082

Comcast has just announced the launch of a new personal 4G/3G Mobile Hotspot by Novatel Wireless. Known as the MiFi 4082, this mobile hotspot allows up to five WiFi-enabled devices to share internet access while on the go. The device connects to the Xfinity Internet 2go service which provides high-speed data in areas that have 4G coverage. The perfect companion for folks who are always on the go and can’t afford to miss out on any emails from the office.

The sleek and compact, pocket-sized router provides speeds of up to 6Mbps when on 4G. However, the device also works in areas with 3G coverage – albeit at lower speeds. It features a rechargeable battery to provide hours of internet access (it wasn’t mentioned exactly how long) and has a range of up to 30 feet. The MiFi 4082 can be purchased for a one-time fee of $25 with a qualifying Xfinity Internet 2go service plan. Head over to Comcast’s website for more details.
