Unlike last year’s Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones, Samsung made it a point to offer up 5G across all of its Galaxy S20 smartphones this year. This is no doubt good news for those looking to hop onto the 5G bandwagon, but at the same time, 5G still isn’t quite as widely-available around the world just yet.
Data coverage for London Underground commuters is set to get much better next year. It has been confirmed that 4G access will be available in the Underground’s tunnels and stations starting next year. This will begin with the eastern half of the Jubilee line between Westminster and Canning Town stations from March 2020.
While most of us might think of smartwatches and activity trackers as devices aimed more at adults, the reality of today is that kids are just as tech-ed up as most adults, with parents relying heavily on smartphones and tablets to help entertain and educate their children. This is why it’s not surprising that we’re seeing smartwatches and wearables designed for kids as well.
With 5G expected to become the new standard of mobile internet connectivity, this means that eventually older network standards will be phased out, kind of like how 2G isn’t quite as prevalent anymore compared to 3G and 4G, and we expect that eventually 3G will go the way of the dinosaur as well.
Are you interested in picking up the Microsoft Surface 3 (4G LTE)? Well, you can already do so today in the US, except that you will have to pick it up through AT&T. Having unlimited LTE data is great because what this means is that users can go ahead and download as many things as they’d like, watch as many videos as they want, and so on without having to worry about reaching a data cap. Now not every user is so opportunistic but there are some who rely on their phones for all their internet needs, which is why carriers such as […]
The daily commute is going to get a lot better for people in Chicago who use the subway. The city has announced that it has struck a deal with the nation’s four largest mobile carriers to provide 4G connectivity to the Chicago Transit Authority’s subway system.
Now here is an interesting bit of news that you might want to consider the next time you decide to choose a new mobile carrier in the U.S. – apparently, AT&T claims that their 4G LTE signal will now cover 300 million people who happen to live in the U.S., which would make them ahead of schedule where the company’s targets are concerned. In November a couple of years ago, […]
Folks over at the FCC have one pretty interesting aspect about their job – they are able to play with all of the latest devices before it even hits the market, just to make sure that nothing is amiss for the masses. However, when you are faced with a sub-par device, then the job can get rather boring or tedious. Having said that, I am quite sure that they would […]
They say that good things come to those who wait, but what about us who have run thin of our patience? EE happens to be the largest 4G network over in the UK, and it does not look as though the company is about to rest on their laurels. In fact, […]
When it comes to the best value proposition where smartphones are concerned, I am quite sure that folks who are rooting for the Android camp would definitely find that the Moto G from Motorola is a candidate that is tough to beat. Despite delivering a whole lot of bang for one’s hard earned buck, there is one particular drawback of the Motorola Moto G that seemed to have held some […]
Sprint’s Chairman was recently quoted as saying 4G LTE connectivity in the US is “horrible”, and we’re not sure if it is a coincidence because around the same time, a certain piece of technology called the pCell was announced which will supposedly improve phone reception, connectivity issues, reduce battery strain, and at the same time increase data speeds that are apparently 1,000 faster than 4G, according to a report by […]
When you choose a mobile carrier, one of the main aspects of that mobile carrier which you would definitely look out for would be the area of coverage. Well, we are pleased to say that as Verizon celebrates the third birthday of its 4G LTE network, and in order to commemorate the occasion, it has given the 4G LTE service a boost via Advanced Wireless Services spectrum airwaves. Revealing this […]
We’re sure many of you are pleased with your 4G and 4G LTE connections on your mobile devices, but even though those speeds are good enough for you to upload videos to YouTube and images to Instagram on a regular basis, we can’t help but look at the future of mobile data speeds. Samsung has announced it has taken the first step into providing what seems to be “next” for […]
Verizon Wireless has the largest 4G LTE network in U.S., with the service being offered in approximately 500 markets. Moreover the carrier is expected to be finished with its deployment work in a couple of months. After it, AT&T is the second network that’s offering the largest 4G LTE network, but its service is not available in even half of the total markets that Verizon caters to. Regardless, we’ve been […]
Prior to the release of the iPhone 4S, many had speculated that the phone would come with 4G LTE capabilities. However this was shot down because Apple had at that time not yet figured a way to include LTE whilst providing decent battery life. Come iPhone 5, it seems that iPhone users would finally be able to enjoy LTE speeds on their phone, but who do we have to thank […]
Want to get a Nokia Lumia device on T-Mobile’s network and take advantage of the carrier’s newly announce LTE capabilities? Well if the Nokia Lumia 810 was on your list, you might want to rethink that decision because according to Randy Meyerson, Senior Director of Product Marketing at T-Mobile, the Lumia 810 will unfortunately not be able to receive the update that would enable its LTE connectivity. According to Meyerson, […]
While it is more or less a given that flagship phones of 2013 have 4G LTE connectivity, it is always nice to have it confirmed. Samsung will be launching the next-gen Galaxy S device tomorrow and LTE is one of the features many predicted would be part of the phone, and rightfully so. Well the good news is that if you were ever in doubt, UK carrier EE has confirmed […]
