Unlike last year’s Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphones, Samsung made it a point to offer up 5G across all of its Galaxy S20 smartphones this year. This is no doubt good news for those looking to hop onto the 5G bandwagon, but at the same time, 5G still isn’t quite as widely-available around the world just yet.
Data coverage for London Underground commuters is set to get much better next year. It has been confirmed that 4G access will be available in the Underground’s tunnels and stations starting next year. This will begin with the eastern half of the Jubilee line between Westminster and Canning Town stations from March 2020.
While most of us might think of smartwatches and activity trackers as devices aimed more at adults, the reality of today is that kids are just as tech-ed up as most adults, with parents relying heavily on smartphones and tablets to help entertain and educate their children. This is why it’s not surprising that we’re seeing smartwatches and wearables designed for kids as well.
With 5G expected to become the new standard of mobile internet connectivity, this means that eventually older network standards will be phased out, kind of like how 2G isn’t quite as prevalent anymore compared to 3G and 4G, and we expect that eventually 3G will go the way of the dinosaur as well.
Are you interested in picking up the Microsoft Surface 3 (4G LTE)? Well, you can already do so today in the US, except that you will have to pick it up through AT&T. As for the more business minded customers, you will be able to make your purchase of the Surface 3 (4G LTE) at T-Mobile @Work from July 31 onward, and for those who do not want to be […]
Having unlimited LTE data is great because what this means is that users can go ahead and download as many things as they’d like, watch as many videos as they want, and so on without having to worry about reaching a data cap. Now not every user is so opportunistic but there are some who rely on their phones for all their internet needs, which is why carriers such as […]
The daily commute is going to get a lot better for people in Chicago who use the subway. The city has announced that it has struck a deal with the nation’s four largest mobile carriers to provide 4G connectivity to the Chicago Transit Authority’s subway system.
Now here is an interesting bit of news that you might want to consider the next time you decide to choose a new mobile carrier in the U.S. – apparently, AT&T claims that their 4G LTE signal will now cover 300 million people who happen to live in the U.S., which would make them ahead of schedule where the company’s targets are concerned. In November a couple of years ago, […]
Folks over at the FCC have one pretty interesting aspect about their job – they are able to play with all of the latest devices before it even hits the market, just to make sure that nothing is amiss for the masses. However, when you are faced with a sub-par device, then the job can get rather boring or tedious. Having said that, I am quite sure that they would […]
They say that good things come to those who wait, but what about us who have run thin of our patience? I suppose those of you who rejoiced in March this year when the Verizon ALLSET plans were announced were (unpleasantly) surprised to find that it did not come with 4G LTE support. Well, it is nice to hear that Verizon Wireless has started to enable this very 4G LTE […]

EE happens to be the largest 4G network over in the UK, and it does not look as though the company is about to rest on their laurels. In fact, ever since its 4G network was launched at the end of 2012, it has grown by leaps and bounds, and is well on its way to hit its target of 98% population coverage before 2014 calls it quits. In fact, […]
When it comes to the best value proposition where smartphones are concerned, I am quite sure that folks who are rooting for the Android camp would definitely find that the Moto G from Motorola is a candidate that is tough to beat. Despite delivering a whole lot of bang for one’s hard earned buck, there is one particular drawback of the Motorola Moto G that seemed to have held some […]
Sprint’s Chairman was recently quoted as saying 4G LTE connectivity in the US is “horrible”, and we’re not sure if it is a coincidence because around the same time, a certain piece of technology called the pCell was announced which will supposedly improve phone reception, connectivity issues, reduce battery strain, and at the same time increase data speeds that are apparently 1,000 faster than 4G, according to a report by […]
