Google Analytics

Google has announced that their Google Analytics tool now has a feature called the Site Speed report. The Site Speed report enables Google Analytics to display load times for various pages and site assets under different circumstances like the location of the visitor, media placement, browser and operating system used to access the site and more. Using these stats, webmasters can then figure out what’s wrong or what needs to be changed on the site to make things better.

For folks who make use of Google AdSense on their websites, this is a feature worth checking out, as we all know that the longer a person spends on a website, the higher the chances of an ad being clicked on. And nobody wants to hang out at a website where it takes forever to load. Users who wish to have Google Analytics monitor their site’s speed have to opt-in for the feature and update their embedded javascript for it to work. Find out more on Google’s blog.
