Social networking giant Facebook and film studio Miramax have come together to roll out an new app as part of a movie streaming partnership, where this app will be known as the Miramax eXperience. Already live over at Facebook, 20 titles are available for rent Stateside, while the UK and Turkey will get 10 choices each. No idea on why Turkey was selected out of so many other countries, but no point complaining if you reside in that part of the world, no? The Miramax eXperience will arrive in France and Germany sometime down the road as well, so you will need to be patient if you happen to reside in either country.

Among the titles available in the US include Pulp Fiction, Good Will Hunting, Chicago and Kill Bill, for starters, and if you want to rent any of the 20 movies, it will cost you 30 Facebook credits – which is the equivalent of $3.

In order to access Miramax eXperience, you can do so via a smart TV, a notebook or desktop, a smartphone, Google TV, or even via an iPad as long as there is a browser-based player running. Do you think the Miramax eXperience is going to be a hit? I guess it just opens up a whole new universe of options for those who want portable entertainment – now to wait for its library to be populated further…
