You know how we are said to live in a world that is separated by just six degrees from one another? Well, social networking giant intends to bring that line of connectivity to the world of the unborn – by letting you add in your unborn child(ren) via the new Facebook family member status option. This section of your profile will now be able to include an “Expected: Child”, where you can also choose to upload an ultrasound photo, name as well as due date.

Once you have made the move to add the unborn child, he/she will automatically be listed with the rest of your family members in your user profile, while a notification will take place on your Facebook wall for all and sundry to send in their congratulatory messages.

What do you think of this? In the world where everything is nice and rosy, a planned pregnancy would definitely be more than welcome, but an unplanned one might have you feeling awkward if the world knew about it, or if the pregnancy did not end up on a good note.
