Well, the target has been met (at the time of writing it has hit over 101,000 likes), and id Software has kept its promise. RAGE for iOS is now available as a free download on the Apple App Store. This move will definitely push the app to the top of the iOS charts, seeing how everybody loves free games, and it will no doubt increase awareness for the upcoming RAGE shooter on consoles and the PC. Let’s not forget that the 100,000+ people that liked the page will now stay updated with id Software’s forthcoming announcements about the game – a pretty smart marketing move by id Software don’t you think?
