Last week we reported on the Razer Tiamat 7.1 gaming headphones, and now it looks like Sony is interested in giving Razer a run for their money with Sony’s very own Playstation 3 wireless stereo headset.

The PS3 wireless headset will also feature 7.1 surround sound and will come with a USB dongle which you attach to your PS3 in order to create the Bluetooth connection required for the headphones to work with your console. It also features a retractable microphone and as you can tell from the photos, it’s a bit “fat”, thanks to the oversized earpads which Sony is claiming will allow for comfortable playing for hours on end.

If you were on the market for a wireless headset for your Playstation 3, then perhaps this PS3 wireless stereo headset could be what you’re looking for. The good news is that the headset will be launched come September 6th for $100. For more information just head on down to Sony’s Playstation website.
