Facebook has finally owned up and fixed a bug which actually revealed users’ personal photos, whether they liked it or not. This bug was stumbled upon after folks managed to exploit it in order to post personal pictures of Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The flaw was discovered by members of a body-building forum, where it will somehow manipulate the network’s inner machinations to report inappropriate images. Should a Facebook user decide to click on the “Report” menu in order to flag that particular image as a piece of pornography or having less clothes on than normal, then you would be presented with additional photos from the reported users’ account – including private ones, so that you can further deem whether they are inappropriate or not.

Facebook’s statement mentioned that this bug was resultant of a recent code push which enabled users to view private photos, and is available for a limited time only. Nice to see Zuckerberg & Co. remove the option, where its reintroduction will only happen once they fixed whatever’s inherently wrong with it.
