[CES 2012] CES 2012 saw Sony announce an improvement in their MicroVault range, where the new models that comprise USM-Q, USM-P and USM-M will include the entire spectrum of users, ranging from those who want ultra-fast, high performance to a more modern, stylish, and easy-to-use model. After all, different strokes for different folks apply here, so there is no need for all storage devices to function the same way, according to Viviano Cantu, Director of Consumer Media for Sony Electronics.

Sony will be introducing ultra-fast USB 3.0 compatibility to its flagship USM-Q series, enabling it to hit data transfer speeds of up to 120MB/s (read speed), while looking future-forward with its sleek hairline metal body finish design that is scratch-resistant. Not only that, the device comes with a “click” mechanism that makes it easy to hook up to USB ports using but a single push, and there is also an easy-to-read LED indicator that lets you know when the device is active. Expect Sony’s range of USB MicroVault models to arrive this March, where the USM-Q, USM-P and USM-M will retail for $44.99, $29.99 and $15.99, respectively. [Press Release]
