I always find it highly amusing that some people take their social network relationships and connections too seriously – so what if someone takes you off as their friend on Facebook? Is it a good enough reason for something as serious as murder? Apparently so, as a Tennessee couple who “defriended” a woman on Facebook were later murdered right in their abode, no thanks to the jilted woman’s father and another male suspect. Johnson County Sheriff Mike Reece said, “It’s the worst thing I’ve ever seen. We’ve had murders, but nothing like this. This is just senseless.”

Billy Clay Payne, Jr. and Billie Jean Hayworth were brutally murdered in January after they deleted Jenelle Potter from their Facebook account. Jenelle is the daughter of one of the suspects, and because of this particular act, they were shot in the head, and the man probably had it worse before he passed on, as his throat was cut. At least the killers still had a minute conscience left, as the couple’s 8-month-old baby remained unharmed. The two suspects, Marvin Enoch “Buddy” Potter Jr., 60, and Jamie Lynn Curd, 38, were arrested three days ago and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. What is the world coming to these days?
