While the iPhone is great for taking photos on the go in place of a digital camera, due to its rather slim profile, attempting to take photos while in landscape mode can be somewhat of a precarious situation where your phone might slip from your fingers at the slightest nudge. Granted not all of us have butterfingers, but iPhone owners should know what I’m talking about. Looking to solve that problem is the Gymbl Latch and Lanyard Kickstarter project, which is essentially a special Gymbl case and a latch that it attached to the lanyard. Admittedly a pretty simple idea, but one that we’re sure iPhone owners out there might be able to appreciate.

The latch will hook onto a slot in the case, and based on the video we saw, it appears to be rather sturdy and should be able to hang securely around your neck, allowing iPhone users to take photos without worrying that they might drop their phone. For those interested in pledging a donation to the Gymbl Latch and Lanyard project, a pledge of $15 will net you the latch and lanyard upon release, while pledges of $30 and above will come with additional items. For more information and to check out the video, head on over to its Kickstarter page.
