Musicians should probably be familiar with the name Slash – a guitar player of legend and formerly belonging to Guns N’ Roses. Well the good news is that if you’re a huge fan of Slash’s guitar sound, you might be able to emulate that soon. IK Multimedia has announced the AmpliTube Slash for the iPhone and iPad and the Mac. As the name might have already implied, Slash has teamed up with IK Multimedia and has reproduced the sound from his guitar pedals and amplifiers on the AmpliTube.

The app will come loaded with two Slash signature Marshall amplifiers, six pedals along with a wide selection of presets from songs that he has played on. Of course we can’t promise that you’ll actually be able to play and sound exactly like him, but if his tone is one that you’ve been after, AmpliTube for iOS will retail for $9.99 and will require IK Multimedia’s iRig guitar interface. The Mac version will be able to purchase the AmpliTube Custom Shop system for $79.99. In the meantime if you’d like to see Slash get down and dirty with the AmpliTube, check his chops out in the video above. [Product page]
