A few days ago, photos surfaced that claimed to be prototype designs of Apple’s iPhone. Samsung claims that these early designs of the iPhone were allegedly stolen from Sony which if proven true, would help with their case against Apple. However Apple has since released a photo of its “purple” iPhone design which they claim was created back in 2005, which appears to have the same design elements of the iPhone 4/4S, albeit slightly cruder (in our opinion). If the judge were to accept this particular prototype design, it could put an end to Samsung’s claims that Apple copied designs from Sony. While the outcome has yet to be determined, we have to admit that it’s pretty interesting to see how Apple had the iPhone 4/4S’ design already in mind way back in 2005 before they even released the first-gen iPhone! We have to wonder if there are any iPhone 5 prototype designs lying around that might make an appearance in these legal proceedings – we doubt it, but one can always hope, right?
