Demo Mac units at Apples retail stores might not be running OS X Mountain Lion due to some hiccupsSo Apple has confirmed that OS X Mountain Lion will be released later today. For some Mac users, the decision as to whether they should upgrade from OS X Lion to OS X Mountain Lion is still one that they have yet to make. While it is a relatively inexpensive upgrade, we’re sure that many Mac users are comfortable with the way things are now. Well if you were thinking of popping down to your local Apple retail store to give OS X Mountain Lion a spin before deciding if you should upgrade, you might want to put that on hold for now.

The folks at 9to5 Mac have been tipped that due to some last minute issues with the equipment needed to image OS X Mountain Lion on Mac computers in the stores for demo, those hoping to try out OS X Mountain Lion on demo Mac computers will be out of luck. This by no means is delaying the actual launch, but rather the demo, so if you’re intent on upgrading your OS X today, you will still be able to do so.
