Android 4.1 Jelly Bean updates headed for Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 Google’s latest Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is said to make its way towards the Samsung Galaxy S3 sometime in the third quarter of this year, and there are also whispers in the street that this particular operating system update will also be on its way to appear on the Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy Note and Galaxy Note 2 (which was recently announced officially). Right now, the Galaxy S3 undergoing the testing phase for its firmware, and a public version of the first Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S3 is in the pipeline.

Other than that, it is said that Samsung is testing Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S2, and initial tests do look just fine. It makes perfect sense though to release Jelly Bean for this particular smartphone, especially when it is still doing extremely well in terms of sales. The Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy Note, too, (sorry I could not resist that bit), will also be part of this Jelly Bean update throng, although we do not have anything official from Samsung just yet.

Galaxy Note: The Samsung Galaxy Note was introduced by Samsung during IFA 2011 in Berlin. It was the first smartphone to break the 5" display size barrier with an 5.3" 720p Super-AMOLED display. The international (non-US) version was powered by a Samsung Samsung Exynos 4210, while the U.S version used a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8255T. In terms of storage, the Galaxy Note came with 16GB or 32GB of internal flash memory, which could be supplemented with a microSD card. The battery has a capacity of 2500mAh, which was nice at the time, but has been surpassed since by the Galaxy Note 2, which has a 3100mAh battery. Galaxy S3: The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a smartphone from Samsung that was launched on May 3 2012 in London, UK. It is scheduled to hit the European market on May 25th. Among the technical highlights, the Samsung Galaxy S3 features a 4.8" Super AMOLED display (1280x720), Android 4.0, dual UD cameras (8MP and 1.9MP), 16GB to 32GB of Flash storage (+microSD for 64GB extension), Dual-GPS and a 2100mAh battery. Jelly Bean (Android): is also known as Android 4.1. It improves upon 4.0 in a few ways: 1/ "butter smooth" user interface, thanks to many changes on how graphics operations are timed and synchronized. 2/ automatic widget re-sizing so that users can max out their screen space. 3/ Voice typing goes offline, which is great because the previous version only worked if the data connection was good. 4/ Better camera app that makes reviewing and curating photos easier. 5/ Google Now is a personal assistant which competes with Apple's Siri.
