When it comes to movies and books, sequels are the norm, and so too, does the same apply to the world of consumer electronics, smartphones and tablets in particular. The LG Optimus Vu 2 is no doubt the sequel to the LG Optimus Vu (which was considered to fall under the phablet category), carrying a 4:3 aspect ratio and a 5” display. Well, details on the LG Optimus Vu 2 has just been leaked from South Korean blog Bad IT Tong, where it will come with a 5” display as well, where it would feature a 1,024 x 768 resolution screen that is similar to that of the current Vu. At least the RAM count has been bumped up to 2GB, while the Qualcomm processor underneath the hood will receive an update to a 1.5GHz dual-core model, while retaining the LTE radio that is found in its US Intuition variant.

Forget about Android 4.1 Jelly Bean right out of the box, as you will be one step behind with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, where it will be accompanied by an 8-megapixel rear shooter, and a microSD memory card slot that lets you hold up to 32GB of storage space. A 2,150 mAh battery should be able to help it last throughout the work day. There is no word on pricing details in the US just yet, so we will just have to wait and see.
