Computers are computers and can be used by both men and women alike, but apparently Fujitsu thinks that there is a distinction and has recently announced a range of laptops that was designed for women, by women. Dubbed the Floral Kiss these laptops have apparently been designed for women in mind not just in terms of more feminine colors, but in terms of the design of the laptop itself where the flip latch which opens the display has been created with long fingernails taken into consideration.

Other design features which were created to appeal to a female audience include a power button that has been “adorned with a pearl-like accent,” and the power status LED and the Caps Lock key that has been “decorated with diamond-cut stone for a sophisticated look,” and the keyboard itself which has been given a gold ring around each individual key. It will also come with a wireless mouse that has been design to match the overall design of the laptop, along with software such as a Scrapbook, a Diary and a horoscope application.

As far as its internals are concerned, the Fujitsu Floral Kiss will pack a third-gen Intel Core i5 processor, 500GB of hard disk space and will run on Microsoft’s latest operating system, Windows 8. No word on pricing but the laptop is expected to be made available come 2nd of November in Japan. [Press release]
