While Android phones and iPhones tend to come in monochromatic color offerings, with the odd spattering of color here and there, it’s safe to assume that it would be easy to point out a Windows Phone 8 handset from the crowd simply by looking at the color. After all both Nokia and HTC’s WP8 offerings come in pretty vibrant colors, and we’re not sure if this is a manufacturer’s requirement, but it looks like Huawei’s upcoming Ascend W1 is following suit. The handset has been leaked several times in the past, and here it is one more time (via WPXAP) in all of its glory, except that this time it can be seen alongside its WP8 siblings.

No word on when or where it will be released, but according to the rumors, the Ascend W1 will be a Windows Phone 8 device with a 1.2GHz dual-core processor under its hood, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a 4” display and a 5MP rear-facing camera. With the amount of leaks we’ve seen so far, it would be safe to assume that it’s only a matter of time when the handset is finally released.
