[CES 2013] Seeing how many cable companies have made it possible to stream video content onto tablets, it’s not surprising to see a company known for manufacturing TVs to dip into the tablet market with their own Android / TV hybrid device to be shown at CES. And that’s exactly what RCA is doing with its newly-announced RCA Mobile TV tablet.

The RCA Mobile TV tablet is a combination Android tablet and portable TV as not only will you be able to enjoy the Android OS on it, but will also be able to watch television on it with its over-the-air tuner and the Dyle mobile TV tuner.

The device will feature an 8-inch IPS display at 1024 x 768, 1GHz Cortex A5 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and a microSD slot. It’ll also feature HDMI, microUSB, GPS, front and rear-facing cameras and will weigh 1.4 pounds. Don’t think you can watch TV on it all day as the RCA Mobile TV tablet will only hold 4 hours to TV-watching juice, or up to 10 hours of web browsing if you decide to use it as an actual tablet.
