lost-planet-3-delay-august

Capcom’s Lost Planet 3 debuted last year and we were expecting it to be released on June 25 in North America, but it looks like Capcom has other plans for the game as they sneakily announced its delay in a press release earlier today.

According to the press release, Lost Planet 3 will now be delayed by a month to be released on August 27 in North America on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. When asked for the reason for its delay, a Capcom spokesperson said, “The release date for Lost Planet 3 has moved for business reasons.”

Lost Planet 2 received mixed reviews when it released and didn’t receive quite the acclaim the original game did. Hopefully this extra time for “business reasons” will hopefully allow the game to cook a little longer so those of us who really want another good Lost Planet game can get what they want with Lost Planet 3’s release.
