sega-e3-reveal-468x300It is easy to fake photos these days which is why we suggest you take this with a grain of salt, but for those who don’t mind a bit of speculating, the image above was recently spotted on the NeoGAF forums with the word “Spectrum” followed by SEGA’s logo at the bottom of it. The date on the image has also been revealed to be for the 12th of June which places it right smack in the middle of E3, and some have begun to speculate that “Spectrum” could be a new console from SEGA that the company could be looking to announce during E3 itself.

It has been many, many years since SEGA last released their own console, and considering that right now it’s pretty much a battle between Nintendo, Sony and Microsoft, SEGA would definitely have a hard time trying to muscle their way back in. However it is safe to say there are plenty of SEGA gamers from back in the day who enjoyed SEGA’s consoles and wouldn’t mind seeing the company try their hand at a new console of their own, but either way like we said, images are easily faked and for all we know, Spectrum could be a game or a service. Either way check back with us during E3 for the details, but in the meantime what do you guys think?
