facebook-home-update

Facebook today rolled out an updated version of the Facebook for Android app and Facebook Home. The app has been updated with crucial bug fixes and performance improvements. It also brings the ability to insert multiple photos in chat messages and to configure post sharing settings on the go. The previous Facebook for Android app only allowed insertion of one photo per message in chat. Facebook Home update brings a new ‘favorites tray’ which will display your most revered apps front and center.

No changes have been made to the core Home interface. The new favorites tray displays most frequently used apps in the full list of apps. This will obviously make it easier for users to launch apps they’re most likely to use multiple times throughout the day, the tray eliminates the need of searching through all apps for a particular one. Future Facebook Home updates will reportedly bring support for widgets and folders, though it can’t be said when that update will be released. The updated Facebook for Android app is now available for download via Google Play Store.
