samsung-logoIn the past and given Samsung and Apple’s relationship, we have seen the South Korean tech giant release a slew of ads targeting Apple and their customers in a bid to make Apple’s products seem silly by comparison. Of course since they were approved by Samsung, naturally the company has to be feeling pretty pleased with itself and in a recent interview with AdNews, Samsung’s marketing chief, Arno Lenior, revealed that the ads that mocked Apple proved to be a pretty effective marketing tactic for their company.

According to Lenior, what made the campaign particularly effective was how it managed to get Apple and Samsung fanboys from around the world bashing each other in a bid to protect their favorite brand/product, and while Apple seems to be taking the brunt of these attacks, you might recall it was a few years ago that Apple was the one on the assault with their whole Mac versus PC campaign. What do you guys think? Do you agree that Samsung’s campaign at mocking Apple did a good job at selling the company’s brand and products?
