nexus5

The world anxiously waits for the next generation Nexus smartphone to be announced, but as of now there has been no official confirmation of an upcoming launch. However, this doesn’t mean that the rumor mill will stop churning. The latest one brings us the purported Nexus 5 price, which was not included in the alleged Nexus 5 manual that leaked a few days back and essentially gave away the entire spec list.

This particular tip about the Nexus 5 was received by PhoneArena, which hears that two models with different storage options will be offered. This doesn’t come as a surprise, Nexus 4 came in 8GB and 16GB flavours. What’s interesting to note is that it is claimed there will be a different capacity battery in both models, meaning that the 16GB Nexus 5 will have a 2,300mAh battery and the 32GB will be backed up by a 3,000mAh cell. The 16GB variant is expected to retail for $299 while the 32GB might end up setting you back $399. All we have to go on right now are these rumors, so a grain of salt is advised, since there’s no official confirmation and this rumor comes from a source with an unknown track record. The Nexus 5 smartphone is expected to be unveiled later this month.
