Christmas sweaters have gotten a rather bad rep for being ugly and otherwise rather corny, despite their well intentions to keep its wearer warm during the festive season, but it seems that despite the bad rep, it has not stopped companies from producing them and over in the UK, beer company Budweiser has launched a #Jumper4des campaign where the more times the hashtags are tweeted, the more jumpers will be made via the Knitbot machine, which is a machine powered by Twitter mentions.

The idea behind #Jumper4des is basically to give a shout-out to designated drivers who elect to stay sober during the holiday season in a bid to drive their drunk family and/or friends home after a wild night of celebration. The jumpers are of the red and white variety and will feature the typical Christmas motifs, such as snowflake patterns. It will also sport a message which reads, “Merry Christmas! Celebrate responsibly” across the chest, and of course there will also be Budweiser’s logo sewn onto it as well. This campaign will run until the 6th of December and Budweiser UK’s Facebook page is also giving fans a chance to win one of these sweaters.
