vineandroidVine for Android first hit the Google Play Store in June earlier this year, to much fanfare and cheers of fans of the app. Since then, Vine for Android has seen its fair share of software updates to bring you new features to the mix, and they have not exactly disappointed, either. This time around, the latest version of Vine for Android would now be able to support the viewing of short looping videos on Android 2.3 Gingerbread devices, although there is one drawback to this particular version of Vine – you are unable to do anything else other than to view the short video clips if your smartphone runs on the hottest Android version in 2010.

Starting from the Explore tab, you will be able to look up popular posts, check out trending tags and browse channels in order to view videos that have been sorted by categories which range from comedy to nature and sports. Should you find something that catches your eye, why not revine the post and share the love? Perhaps the lack of video creation capability this time around might actually move you to think about upgrading that aged Android-powered device of yours to something new and more respectable to pull out of your pocket this holiday season.
