galaxy-k-leak-1Samsung has a habit of releasing a flagship phone followed up by various iterations of said device. For example we saw the Samsung Galaxy S4 launch with multiple variants like the Galaxy S4 Active, a water-resistant device. There was also a Galaxy S4 Zoom which featured a more powerful camera.

Now word on the street has it that Samsung could be doing the same for the Galaxy S5 handset as well and now thanks to a couple of leaked photos from Baidu, it is possible that we are now looking at additional photos of the device.

The Galaxy K, as it is allegedly known as, was pictured when it made a pit stop at the FCC, and if anything these photos seem to corroborate the design which shows off a pretty slim looking device. The photo above shows the phone in a casing which makes it seem thicker, but presumably once the case is off, it will look pretty slim, which we guess is a nice touch.

The exact specifications of the Galaxy K remain unknown for now, but based on the rumors, it is said to feature a 4.8-inch Super AMOLED 720p HD display, a hexa-core Samsung Exynos 5 5260 chipset with 2GB of RAM, a 20MP rear-facing camera with 10x optical zoom, Xenon flash, a front-facing 2MP camera, and will run on Android 4.4.2 KitKat.

It wasn’t too long ago that Samsung sent out invites to an event that will be held in Singapore on the 29th of April at 11am, so it is likely that is when we will see the device in all of its official glory. This means that for those of us living stateside, it means that you should check back with us around 8pm PDT on the 28th of April for the details.
