BlackBerry-LogoBlackBerry has made available BlackBerry 10.3 SDK Beta already, and in the process of doing so, they might have by accident confirmed the rumored BlackBerry Q30 (aka Windermere) smartphone. When the SDK for BlackBerry 10.3 was announced earlier today, BlackBerry did make mention the developers that the new build will be used only in new BlackBerry handsets, and there will be no plans to introduce this as part of an update to existing models.

Fret not, however, as BlackBerry 10.3.1 is on track to be made available to just about all existing BlackBerry 10 handsets as an OS update, although this will only happen some time later this year. The new hardware is said to continue using the 1:1 (for QWERTY equipped models) and 16:9 (for “All-Touch” phones) aspect ratios, which means that resolutions will remain at 720 x 720 for the QWERTY models, while the “All Touch” handsets ought to see some 720 x 1280 action.

Apart from that, there were hints of a new handset with a 1440 x 1440 resolution and a pixel density of 453ppi, which line up nicely with the rumored BlackBerry Q30 aka Windermere. Not only that, there are also rumors of another handset known as the BlackBerry Classic which is tipped for a November 2014 launch, which is also called the BlackBerry Q20. This seems to groove to old school thoughts with a physical QWERTY keyboard, a track pad and function keys. What do you think? [Press Release]
