There are games on mobile devices that allows us to build towns, build farms, build towers, and so on, but if you were looking forward to playing one of the original city building simulators, you might be pleased to learn that EA has recently announced SimCity BuildIt. From what we can see, it’s pretty much like the PC version SimCity where gamers get to build a city of their own.
However not much details were shared to the public just yet, although according to EA, this will be an “all-new SimCitygame like you’ve never seen before, designed for gamers on the go”. Chances are we could be looking at a more barebones version of SimCity given that our mobile devices aren’t as big as computer monitors.
Also given EA’s reputation there is also a very good chance that SimCity BuildIt will be a free-to-play title where gamers will most likely have to make in-app purchases in order to unlock certain features, speed up the building process, and so on. However based on the screenshots, we have to admit it looks pretty interesting.
No word on when the game will be released, but it is expected to make its way onto the likes of iOS and Android devices, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for more information, so do check back with us at a later date for the details.
