It had been confirmed by Amazon soon after Apple Pay went live last week that its Rewards Visa issued by Chase will be compatible with Apple’s new payments service, so folks who had one didn’t need to worry, but Amazon didn’t say at that time exactly when support for this card will be added. Doesn’t matter though since the wait is now over. Apple Pay officially supports the Amazon Rewards Visa cards now.

This means that anyone who has an Amazon Rewards Visa card can add it to Apple Pay and then use it, no more waiting required for support to arrive. Even though there hasn’t been an official announcement many people found out themselves that the support had indeed been added.

Amazon has issued a confirmation as well so there’s no need to worry if this was a glitch of some sort, the company has clearly said that this card now works with Apple Pay. Those who are looking for more information about the Amazon Rewards Visa card can get it from this webpage.

All cards issued by Chase work with Apple Pay, the Amazon Rewards Visa was the only exception, until today. It hasn’t been made clear why it took nearly a week for support to arrive, but now that its here, I doubt many will ask this question any longer.
