samsung logo 5Word on the street has it that Samsung is working on at least a trio of new devices that will be part of its A-series of smartphones. This includes the Samsung A3, A5, and the A7. The rumors suggest that these phones will be the successors to the Samsung Galaxy Alpha that was announced a couple of months ago and would sport metal builds.

Well for those keeping an eye out for the devices, you might be interested to learn that the Samsung A5 has recently surfaced on GFXBench (via Pocketnow) in which some of its specs have been revealed. Now for the most part, the specs seem to be in line with what the rumors have claimed, although it is possible that the benchmark results could have been faked.

That being said, one of the interesting features of the handset would be its processor. Based on the benchmarks, it seems that Samsung has decided to go with the use of Qualcomm’s 64-bit processor, the Snapdragon 410. It is a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and will be accompanied by 2GB of RAM.

The handset also comes with a 4.8-inch 720p HD display and will come with 16GB of onboard storage, a 12MP rear-facing camera, a 5MP front-facing camera, and will come with Android 4.4.4 KitKat preinstalled, although we admit we were hoping for at least Android L. Still no word on when Samsung will officially announce the A3, A5, or the A7, but we will keep our eyes and ears peeled for a possible announcement anyway.
