htc-re-camera-1Just last month HTC took the wraps off the HTC RE Camera. For those who might have missed the announcement, the HTC RE Camera is basically a handheld camera without a viewfinder that can be worn on your shirt pocket or held while you go for a swim, mimicking the action-camera qualities of the GoPro.

If you’re intrigued by the device but you’re unwilling to pay the $200 that HTC is asking for it, you’re in luck as it has been revealed that this coming weekend, would-be customers can look forward to picking it up for themselves at 50% off for $99. This will coincide with the Black Friday sales and customers can cash in on this opportunity starting this Friday.

The deal will last until Monday so you’ve got the weekend to check up on reviews to decide if this is the camera for you. That being said, for $99 we have to admit that it is quite a steal and not too heavy of an investment for customers. The camera can be purchased directly from HTC but also from other retailers such as Best Buy and even carriers like AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon, just to name a few.

We’re not sure how many customers will take HTC up on their latest offer, but if you want a new action camera that you can take to the water with you without worrying about water damage, then perhaps this could be worth taking a look at.
