The Google Chrome browser has seen more than 300 million users enjoy the software to date, which is a massive jump from the previous year – we are talking about close to a ten fold increase. Well, half a dozen months down the road, Google executive Darin Fisher has informed those who attended the Chrome Dev Summit that the existing number has now reached 400 million mobile Chrome users.

Of course, this is reason to rejoice, as it shows just how far reaching the Chrome browser is in the world of computing at this point in time. Apart from that, there was mention of the new look of Material Design in addition to changes which have turned the browser into a more secure beast, not to mention seeing more features being part of the deal, too.

Google also removed a 300ms delay that the Chrome browser made use of, just in case the user were to double-tap the screen. Getting rid of this delay means that Chrome is now smoother to use, and the developer has additional control over animations. How has your Google Chrome experience been to date, and which is your back up mobile browser should the day come when Chrome fails to work?
