facebook logoHow far can Artificial Intelligence (AI) go? Professor Stephen Hawking himself did mention not too long ago that AI, when it is refined and advanced, would most probably spell the end of mankind – which is a bummer for those who were looking forward to some sort of zombie apocalypse. Well, Facebook, being one of the most popular social networks in the world, would certainly have a decent repository of uploaded photos of selfies – and there might be some drunken ones that would have made their way there as well. It seems that future AI in Facebook might actually prevent you from doing so – uploading selfies when drunk, of course.

This particular AI will work this way – you need not have to breathe into a breathalyzer while keying in your password and username for Facebook to upload a selfie – no sir, it will make use of AI that intends to recognize whether your face, as well as the faces of others in the photo, is intoxicated – before an automated advice pops up to warn you of uploading a potentially embarassing photo.

Do you think that such an AI would be able to achieve its objective in the first place? After all, when one is already drunk, it would be a whole lot harder to make an informed and rational decision.
