ubuntu-phoneAt last, the long wait for a brand new smartphone is now over – where folks living over in the Old Continent will finally be able to get their hands on the BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition that we talked about just last week. The BQ Aquaris E4.5 Ubuntu Edition is certainly far from being a totally new device, since it has been out for some time already – although it carried the Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system at that point in time.

As the name of this particular handset reveals, it will carry a screen size of 4.5”, sporting qHD resolution on an IPS display with a pixel density of 244ppi. Apart from that, there will be a Mediatek chipset running underneath the hood, boasting of a 1.3GHz Cortex-A7 CPU, 1GB RAM, 8GB of internal memory which can be further augmented thanks to a microSD memory card slot, and of course, Dual SIM capability – so that you will be able to differentiate between your personal and corporate lives.

Battery capacity stands at 2,150mAh, where all of it has been crammed into a chassis that measures 137mm x 67mm x 9mm, tipping the scales at 123 grams. The asking price for this particular smartphone? €170 a pop sounds just about right.
