The “most powerful Ubuntu phone” is now available for purchase, it can be ordered online by anyone and everyone who didn’t place a pre-order for the device back when they were open.

The Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition is marketed as the first flagship smartphone powered by Canonical’s operating system. Since it offers a single platform across devices, the handset will appeal largely to Ubuntu users and not so much to those who don’t even know what it is.

The Meizu PRO 5 Ubuntu Edition features an octacore Samsung Exynos 7420 processor with 3GB RAM, ARM Mali-T760 graphics processor, 32GB expandable internal storage, 5.7 inch full HD AMOLED display, a 3,050mAh battery as well as a 21 megapixel rear and a 5 megapixel front camera. It ships with the latest Ubuntu OTA 10 OS which makes the content centric Scope experience on this handset smoother than ever.
