Rockchip_RK3288_Keyboard_ComputerWe’ve covered our fair share of mechanical keyboards in the past, and for the most part they are just keyboards. Sure, some of them are more fancy and have built-in LEDs light, but it’s not often that we come across a mechanical keyboard that comes with its own processor, and not to mention Android running inside of it at the same time!

Introducing the OneBoard PRO+, this is a mechanical keyboard that basically has a computer packed under its hood. In some ways it reminds us of all-in-one desktop systems where the guts are packed inside the display, but in this case it is packed inside the keyboard. It will feature a quad-core Rockchip SoC clocked at 1.8GHz and will come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of eMMC storage, and a SD card slot for memory expansion.

It also comes with Android 4.4 KitKat preinstalled and as for the keyboard itself, it will feature the famed Cherry MX line of keyboard switches. So how does it work? Well basically you will need to hook it up to a display and a mouse if you wish to use its operating system. Alternatively you could always use it as a regular keyboard by hooking it up to a computer.

Now it’s not the most sleek keyboard we’ve seen and it does seem pretty small as it is missing the number pad, but if you’re after portability and want a computer that you could ferry to and from home and work, this could be it. It is priced at $289 and can be bought from Banggood.com.
