samsung logoPreviously Samsung had held simultaneous Unpacked events in multiple countries, but unfortunately it seems that the company’s latest Unpacked event will not. As you might have heard, Samsung has recently sent out invites to an Unpacked event that they will be hosting on the 1st of March at MWC 2015.

While we can’t be 100% sure as to what the announcement will be about, there is a good chance that we could learn more about the Samsung Galaxy S6 then. Now some had speculated that Samsung could be holding a remote Unpacked event in New York like they did last time, but the folks at SamMobile have confirmed that will not be the case.

According to a Samsung spokesperson, they responded to the question with, “Samsung has no plans to host an Unpacked event in the U.S. If you’re not traveling to Mobile World Congress, you can watch Unpacked via livestream at youtube.com/SamsungMobile.” Based on that it looks like the live stream is still on, but the remote hosting is not.

What this means is that if you wanted to check out the Samsung Galaxy S6 for yourself, you will need to get yourself over to Barcelona which is where MWC will be held. Alternatively you could always check back with us then for the details.
