Google’s new email application, Inbox, has got quite a lot of people interested in it. The company controlled access to the app through an invite system which helped build up hype. Google didn’t allow users to use a Google Apps account with Inbox, they could only use it with a Gmail address, but the company did say that Inbox by Gmail Google Apps support would arrive soon. It appears that support has started gradually going live for some users.
Google exec Sundar Pichai had revealed last month that Inbox by Gmail Google Apps support would be going live “imminently.” That was quite a vague timeframe but multiple reports have come in about support going live.
A couple of weeks ago Google told apps administrators to seek an invite by sending an email at inboxforwork@google.com. Google then sent out surveys to some people who had sent an email and from the looks of it the company has finally started letting Apps users in.
The company appears to have flipped the switch as version 1.4 of the Inbox app arrives. While Google didn’t formally announce that it is now allowing Apps users to take advantage of Inbox, multiple reports suggest that this has already begun for some accounts.
