audi-connect-attBoth AT&T as well as Audi of America have announced that the two companies finally arrived at an agreement which will see the entire range of 2016 model-year Audi vehicles equipped with Audi connect to also be accompanied by AT&T 4G LTE or 3G coverage. This would translate to AT&T and Audi working together, enabling what is very well the first-ever in-vehicle 4G LTE data connection in North America.

I suppose now would be a good time to take a quick peek at your bank balance – after all, you do know that Audi cars are not all that cheap, and not everyone can afford them – let alone maintain then. The connected Audi models will include the following (take a deep breath now): A3, S3, Q3, A4, S4, allroad, A5, S5, Q5, SQ5, A6, S6, A7, S7, RS7, TT, TTS, A8, and S8.

Available high-speed connectivity will also support enhanced traffic information alongside navigation, over the air map updates, social media and mobile app integration, offering access to over 7,000 Web radio stations, not to mention internet radio in vehicles with 4G/LTE hardware. Audi and AT&T will also offer an Audi connect customers Mobile Share data plan option. Would you now shift your allegiance to the brand with the four rings? [Press Release]
