motox-updateIt was not too long ago that we brought you word on how Motorola is currently testing out the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for their first generation Moto X smartphone. Having said that, it looks as though Motorola is more confident about this update release, which is why they have gone ahead to send out the update – at least this is what several users from all over the world has reported. It remains to be seen as to when Motorola intends to roll out this particular update to the US-variants of the first generation smartphone, but judging by the way things are going, it should not be too far off from the horizon.

In this particular update, so far we have come across a change log that is in Portuguese, where it mentioned that the update will see several changes introduced – including that of the Moto Actions, Moto Display as well as several other crucial Motorola features, apart from offering stock Android related changes, of course. Not only that, Motorola will introduce the flashlight gesture feature which was spotted on the Android 5.1 update for the newer 2014 Moto X, meaning the old horse still has got some miles left in its proverbial legs, yes?

Chances are this update will arrive on unlocked variants first, as that is what normally happens when it comes down to global Android updates.
