Most games take gamers several hours, days, or even weeks to complete, but that’s not the point of speedrunning which tries to complete games in record-breaking times. So quick question – if you were to play God of War, God of War II, and God of War III one after the other, how long do you think you would take to complete it?

Some of us might answer a day or two at best, but speedrunner exe_de decided that isn’t quick enough and has managed to beat all three games in a record-breaking time of four hours, fifteen minutes and 54 seconds. This is actually faster by 5 minutes compared to the previous record which we have to admit is pretty damn impressive.

We should note that exe_de is a speedrunning veteran so safe to say that he knows what he’s doing. That being said, he did rely on several glitches in the game which allowed him to skip a few scenes thus shaving off valuable time in the process. In fact it seems that some of the glitches he took advantage of weren’t even known to developers who were actually surprised in the process.

In any case if you have a lot of time to spare and want to check out exe_de’s speedrun of the God of War trilogy, check out the recorded Twitch stream in the video above.
