There is no doubt in the fact that Xiaomi is very keen on expanding its business to markets outside of Asia, particularly to Europe and the United States. The company is taking baby steps in that direction. A few months ago it was confirmed that Xiaomi will launch an online store for these markets through which it will only be selling accessories. That online store is now live for customers in Europe and the U.S. who want to purchase accessories like headphones, power banks and even a fitness tracker from the Chinese manufacturer.

The Xiaomi Mi Store will go online for customers in the U.S. and Europe today at 10pm ET and 1pm CET in France, Germany and the UK. Initially it will only sell four products during the “beta test sale.”

Customers can purchase a fitness tracker which costs just $14.99, a pair of headphones worth $79.99 and two usb power banks which include 5,000mAh and 10,400mAh models for $9.99 and $13.99 respectively.

Xiaomi recommends that interested customers don’t waste any time in creating accounts for its online store if they want to purchase these products because they’re available in very limited quantity.

If Xiaomi is encouraged by the response that it gets for its accessories, perhaps the company might be convinced to bring its very competitively priced Android smartphones to the West.
