chrome_bookmark_manaerLast year Google introduced a new bookmark manager to its Chrome browser. While it was probably done with the best intentions in mind, it did not sit well with users who weren’t particularly taken with the new design. Users were complaining about how the new bookmark manager was confusing and hard to use.

Luckily for Chrome users, it seems that Google has no issue with admitting that they might have misread the situation, so much so that Google has quietly killed off the new bookmark manager and are replacing it with the old one which many users should be happy to see again, so if you want to get your hands on it, just update your Chrome to the latest version and you should be good to go.

In a post by Google on the Help forums, “Our team is committed to improving Chrome’s bookmarks experience, but for the time being, we’ve decided to bring back the previous version. Our team will continue to explore other ways to improve the bookmarks experience. You’ll see the previous version of the bookmarks manager return to your Chrome browser shortly.”

However for those who have no issue with the new manager, you can choose to either not update your Chrome, or if you have updated already you can always get it back by downloading the bookmark manager extension from the Chrome Web Store.
