oitnbIt is no secret that with every episode released and with every new season of Game of Thrones, HBO’s problems with piracy is increased and at the moment, it certainly looks like it is a neverending battle that HBO is facing. Now it looks like HBO’s competitor Netflix is experiencing its own problems with its popular series Orange is the New Black.

According to a report from CNN, Netflix is finding it increasingly difficult to combat piracy of its series. It seems that this has been made a lot harder as searching for illegal sources for the series can be easily found on Google with a quick search phrase. In fact searching for “Orange is the New Black season 3” on Google will return results to illegal sources, and Netflix’s own website isn’t even the number one search result.

This is not limited to Google as searching on other websites such as Yahoo will return similar results too. As it stands it seems that only Microsoft and DuckDuckGo are the only search engines which actually results Netflix’s website via that particular search phrase. According to a Netflix employee, “We’re up against all these sites that house [an] illegal copyrighted version.”

At the moment it is unclear as to how Netflix plans to go about combating the piracy of the show. Like we said, HBO hasn’t had much luck either as despite the warnings and attempts to track down the pirates, the numbers only seem to increase with every episode and every season.
