olio gold smartwatchSmartwatches for the most part look kind of geeky, so if you’re planning on dressing formal, perhaps a smartwatch might not be the best accessory to go with your look. However earlier this year, a company by the name of Olio launched their first batch of smartwatches which have been designed to look luxurious.

The overall design also makes the smartwatch look more traditional so that it doesn’t stand out too much. However if you wanted an even more luxurious version, Olio is happy to entertain as the company has recently unveiled its 24k gold smartwatch. There will also be an 18k rose gold option which according to the company is made from “very pure real gold”.

Customers who opt for the gold models can choose between a link bracelet, or if they want something a bit more understated they can opt for black or brown alligator grain leather straps. Unsurprisingly they do not come cheap as the leather versions are priced at $1,195 while the link bracelet models will go for $1,395, but admittedly still cheaper than the Apple Watch Edition.

For those hearing about the Olio smartwatches for the first time, this is a smartwatch that runs it own custom OS. It is compatible with iOS and Android devices and will pretty much come with the same features and functions as other smartwatches, such as being able to control music, navigation, and can even remotely start your car or control the Nest thermostat. Just like the previous models, the gold versions will be limited to 100 of each type.
