On the 27th of July, the official unveiling of the OnePlus 2 will take place. Marketing faux pas set aside, the OnePlus One was a pretty awesome handset. It came with pretty decent specs and a decent price tag to boot. The fact that it also came with Cyanogen OS was a huge plus for those who weren’t a fan of the heavily modified Android builds that OEMs typically favor.

Safe to say that this has resulted in a lot of hype and anticipation for the OnePlus 2. That being said, the company has released a teaser video (see above) for the upcoming phone. It features one of their community managers who they are also calling a “superfan” in which he talks about his favorite features of the phone.

However we guess the idea of the video is to tease us since in the video, they pretty much bleeped out every feature and function that he claimed to love about the device. Now we have to admit that it is a little funny and does a good job at teasing us, but apart from the mention of “premium materials”, we didn’t really learn anything in the video.

It also seems that due to the large number of downvotes and comments in the video, it looks like OnePlus still has a lot to learn when it comes to marketing and publicity since many do not seem to be too happy about the way the video was presented. In any case the company has already confirmed many of the handset’s specs, like its Snapdragon 810 processor, its 4GB of RAM, its USB Type-C connector, and its 3,300mAh battery, just to name a few.

All that’s left is really its design, its camera, and its display, all of which we assume will be revealed in the next couple of weeks, so check back with us then for the details.
