facebook ads send messageSometimes ads can be annoying, but once in a while an ad might pop up with something relevant, like for a product you’ve been meaning to get, or notifying you that there is a sale going on at the moment. Sometimes trying to get in touch with the business can be tricky as it might involve you having to search for the business on Google or Facebook to get in touch with them.

However it looks like Facebook has been beefing up its ads and it will now allow users to send messages directly to business from their ads, as you can see in the example screenshots shown above. This lets customers get in touch with the company directly from the ad itself versus more roundabout ways, which in turn could help boost engagement and make these ads more effective, although we envision that this could lead to a fair bit of trolling as well.

It should be noted that these messages are completely private so if you have some questions about services or products, they won’t show up on the business’s Facebook page, which at the moment is how some users are getting the attention of companies. Businesses will also get a badge on their page.

This badge will serve to show how responsive they are when it comes to messages. For example if a business wanted to get a “very responsive” badge, they would need to reply to at least 90% of messages and within a 5 minute time frame, so customers know that their enquiries are being attended to instead of ignored.
