It looks like there is a whole lot more in which one is able to discover about Windows 10, and the latest “secret” to be divulged would be the fact that Windows 10 Mobile comes with a secret retail demo mode, now how about that? There is a caveat emptor to take note of before this, so do make sure you know what you are getting yourself into beforehand.
First of all, do realized that when the retail mode is enabled, your smartphone will be taken over completely in this mode – and this means you are unable to make use of the handset in a normal manner. Apart from that, it does not look as though one is able to reset the device to get things running back to normal, since you would most probably have to perform a clean wipe and start from scratch, which can be a bummer, too.
However, if you are still curious enough to kill the proverbial cat, then we would suggest making a backup of everything on your handset before you turn it into a retail dummy device. First of all, Open Settings in order to navigate to System, and then tap on About. When the panel is open, tap on the words “Device and Information” five times, followed by scrolling down in order to check the Reset Your Phone button that will now depict “Enable Demo Mode”.
A warning message will pop up after you click on Enable Demo Mode, informing you that this is a one way street. Hitting Yes you will then be sent to a screen where you are able to enter retail codes, however, hitting Finish would also mean the end of your normal device as it enters the demo mode.
