A new edition of Mortal Kombat has been announced today, there’s really nothing different about this edition as far as the core gaming experience is concerned, it’s the same as Mortal Kombat X aside from one major difference. Mortal Combat XL features all of the DLC content that has been released so far.

NetherRealm Studios, the developer, today confirmed that upcoming launch of Mortal Kombat XL. It revealed that this edition of the game includes all of the downloadable content for Mortal Kombat X which includes movesets, characters, skins and more. That’s everything from Kombat Pack 1 and the soon to arrive Kombat Pack 2.

An announcement trailer has also been released which basically highlights the difference between Mortal Kombat X and Mortal Kombat XL, which isn’t really that big of a deal when you come to think about it, get all the DLC if you already own Mortal Kombat X and you’re good to go.

The latest edition of Mortal Kombat X is going to be released on March 1st in North America and on March 4th in Europe, physical and digital copies will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the announcement didn’t mention if this edition will be headed to PC as well. Pricing has not been confirmed.
